Leanne Cusimano followed a dream and a vision and in 1994 started in business. As founder and creator of the former Cafe Amore, she proudly brings you Amore Breakfast! The original location was on the property of Sea Chambers, on Shore Road. With a background in teaching, then retail furniture sales, and after having worked in area restaurants for 6 years, she wanted to create a place of her own where people could enjoy good food and feel at home. She has been influenced by her travels coast to coast and abroad. Leanne has always believed that “food is love”, due to her Italian upbringing, thus, “Amore”!
We have occupied several locations up and down Shore Road, and now you’ll find us on Main Street at the blinking light on the South side of the village. Our NEWEST location will have excellent visability and accessability and a fresh new look you are sure to love. You will find your favorite menu items, temping Bloody Marys and Mimosas, all made with nothing but the freshest ingredients, and attention to detail that is associated with the Amore name! We welcome you to the family of satisfied customers in the 24th season of AMORE.
As mentioned in the July 30th edition of the New York Times as part a feature article entitled, “36 hours/ Ogunquit, Maine”
“The popular Amore Breakfast has several signature eggs benedict dishes. The archly named Be Still My Heart piles German potato pancakes with poached eggs, bacon, sausage and melted cheese. The trumpeted house specialty, bananas Foster French toast has pecan-coated cream cheese stuffing and a side of bananas sautéed in rum, making it a strong contender for the town’s most decadent breakfast.”
